Remembrance Potpourri

Memories of those we have loved and lost are always with us. With time, hopefully, we smile instead of cry when a particularly poignant memory is triggered. And sometimes we intentionally evoke memories with special objects that remind us of those who have passed on to the Summerland. This special remembrance potpourri is one such object. Made from dried flowers from the funeral of a loved one, as well as special herbs and flowers that have ages-old connections to death, bereavement, and funerals, it serves to help one not only remember the deceased but also to honor their life and hopefully ease the grief that comes with such loss.

Lessons from your Shadow

Shadow Self.jpg

October opens the door to the shadowy forests beyond the Veil a place of deep darkness, where we can revel in the mysteries of the night. A place we can interact with the spirits of the past. A place where we confront our own memories, experiences, and skeletons. A place where we come face to face with our own shadow. The only way out is through, and the only light you have to guide you is the one you have inside.

What is the shadow?

Your shadow is the collected mass of pain, shame, and sorrow you carry everywhere you go and it has a voice, a way of being in the world, and an energetic frequency. There are also treasures in your shadow! Your sexy magic, creativity, and ability to believe in miracles are underneath all that other stuff. Your shadow, if left unacknowledged in your subconscious, can be projected onto others and create karmic entanglements that take generations to reconcile. By engaging and integrating your shadow, you embrace all parts of you and step fully into your power.

The shadow season

Shadow comes out in the shadows, and Samhain or as its best known Halloween is shadow time! Samhain encourages us to look at death, spirit, and transformation as symbolic and natural parts of our own evolution. The Veil between the dead and the living gets thinner as the nights grow longer, and our shadows progressively become unavoidable. Our shadow finds nourishment in darkness in the deepest depths of our being. This is a powerful time to honour the darkness and further integrate it with the light. Ask yourself: What part of yourself scares you the most? What parts of you needs to die, in order for something else to grow in its place?

Samhain, the start of the Celtic New Year, is celebrated on the night of October 31. It’s a time when we say goodbye to many things, to the spirits who have crossed the Veil to commune with us, to the crops and harvests we lost this year, and to the year itself, with all its blessings and challenges. Instead of creating resolutions on January 1 each year, most magical practitioners set intentions on November 1, which for us is the real ‘start’ of the year ahead. At Samhain, we honour the re-birthing process, the little death you can have while still alive, to cut off that rotting limb of energy that you keep dragging around. That old trauma, that leaking wound, the piece of you that is longing to die but you keep reviving for what are probably good reasons. And yet how much more alive, more vital, lighter, better you will feel once you cut it off? Once you let the blood flow. Once you recognize that it’s best to let the dead have what is dead and keep what is alive for the living.

The shadows of the past

Day of the Dead is observed on the first and second days of November. It’s a time when the Veil between the living and dead is lifted this is when we honour the importance of the living as well as the dead, the full cycle of life. During the Day of the Dead, we invoke the souls of our ancestors and support them on their journey. We honour their influence and presence, thanking them for the gifts they’ve passed on to the living, and remember the life they helped create in each of us.

The only way to communicate with spirits of the past is to acknowledge them. Your shadow works in the same way. You have to accept and acknowledge its presence, and then you can see it, communicate with it, and integrate it. Your shadow is beautiful and significant, and not any less deserving of love and attention. Look at it. Work with it. Soothe it. Talk to the literal and symbolic ghosts of your past. If you don’t, they will continue to haunt you. The Day of the Dead is like Samhain, is a powerful opportunity to honour and release what is already dead. This is necessary to keep on living and growing. What will you be acknowledging? What will you be releasing?

Lessons from the Shadow

Your shadow is YOU

Your shadow is your darkness. It’s the part of you that’s kept hidden from everyone else. It’s in the deepest, darkest corners of your being where you store the ugly bits. No matter how terrifying or uncomfortable it is for you to look at the darker aspects of yourself, it’s essential that you do. You must walk beyond the curtain and hug those creatures. Cradle them. Love them. Integrate them into your being. Your shadow cannot be destroyed, so when you abandon it for long periods of time, it will grow and seek its revenge. And it will not be pretty.

Your shadow doesn’t define you

But you can still learn from it. Everyone has a past and has to come to terms with their own darkness, but if we let every mistake define us, we wouldn’t get out of bed in the morning. Appreciate your imperfections human beings would not exist without them. Our beauty is in our ability to move on. To integrate, rebuild, and start again. Honour your ancestors and let your light guide you, so you can be the beacon of hope for future generations.

Your shadow-self is like a mirror

sometimes, aspects of yourself will show up as a mirror to others. If someone displays unwarranted rage, they are projecting onto you because you are mirroring something to them that they struggle to process, and vice versa. Many people are unaware of their triggers, which are accurate teachers about shadow work that needs to be done. Think about a time when you felt irrationally angry at someone. Did you struggle to understand why? Did you attempt to? This is just one of the ways your shadow can sneak up on you when you don’t deal with it. You can damage potential long-lasting relationships with others because of your own unresolved issues. Let this be a comfort to those of you who have lost relationships in the past at the hand of your shadow self. If that relationship meant something to you, maybe it’s time to reach out.

Find the advantage in the disadvantage

one of the best things about understanding your disadvantages is being able to use them as your shield. When you use your flaws and disadvantages to your advantage, then no one else can use them against you. You create your own shield, no one is like you, no one. And this is a difficult concept to grasp in our more formative years. Anything that differentiates you from the pack is subject to immediate ridicule. These memories damage our self-esteem, and our differences can become triggers instead of strengths. What if you changed that story? What if you embrace your quirkiness? Your weird habits? Make a list of the things that make you different and unique and love yourself for them. When you hide your true self, you don’t attract people you can relate to. Embrace your flaws, your unique self, and you will find the advantage in the seeming disadvantage. You will be unstoppable.

Stop overreacting to people or situations

Overreacting is a clear sign of emerging shadow energies. When you overreact, you go beyond what a reasonable reaction should be and express deeper rage, sadness, confusion, or concern about a circumstance or event. This happens when an event triggers a painful or traumatic memory which feels like it’s happening again in the present like a new version of the past. Now the current event takes on the added weight of whatever past event triggered in you, and the person on the receiving end has no idea. When you do your shadow work by excavating all your tricky sticky spots, you will no longer have them to serve as baggage in similar future experiences. You can surrender painful and traumatic experiences by simply allowing yourself to find and feel them, send love and light to them, and through that light, the healing begins.

In closing

You won’t be able to fully share your gifts with the world or experience your true magnificence unless you’ve confronted and integrated your shadow. When you become friends with your shadow, you embrace and accept all parts of yourself and traverse your world with courage. You live a great life, one that is only found by those who face the darkness and turn on the light.

Spirit Animals,Totems & Familiars

Spirit Animial.png

A Spirit Animal is the one who will come to you in order to show you how to deal with and teach you what you need to learn, in order to help you meet the challenges of your spiritual journey.

Each spirit animal has certain powers and skills to teach and knowledge to share for overcoming the many challenges it must meet in order to survive.

Your spirit animal’s appearance signals a time to connect with your true self and your life’s purpose, pay attention to the repeated appearance of this animal and of repeated patterns or themes. Awakening to the recognition of these seemingly synchronistic occurrences teaches you to be aware of the hidden messages in everyday experiences.

There are many ways your spirit animal will make itself known to you and pass on its message. Do not let your perceived image of the animal prejudice you as to the significance of its message. You will meet with the spirit animal whose lessons you need to learn.

You cannot choose your spirit animal, it chooses you. Spirit animals will appear only at the time and place in your life when you are ready to accept them and the wisdom the come to offer, and they always turn up at exactly the right moment.

A “Totem Animal” is an animal spirit that you call upon or invoke, for its special powers and survival skills, to serve as a guardian or protector when facing adversity.

It is customary for many Native American tribes (as well as others) to be made up of smaller groups or “Clans” united by actual or perceived kinship and descent and formed around a founding member or “ancestor”. Often this ancestor is an animal spirit which becomes the Clan Totem. The clan totems are often the animals that inhabit the local area, (The wolf, bear, turtle, and deer are common clans of the Great Lakes area.), and which have a unique relationship to the tribe and its heritage.

The spiritual powers of the various totems help each clan to carry out its own special duties and responsibilities within the tribe in accordance with the attributes of that totem. (The Turtle Clan usually being the tribes “Keepers of Wisdom”, the guardians of the legends and mysteries within the tribe’s ceremonies and practices.)

Again, never let your perceived image of an animal effect how you see its ability to serve as a “Totem”. Though it may seem incongruous to invoke a rabbit as a totem for battle, remember the wisdom shown by “Briar Rabbit” in defeating an enemy.

Totem Poles

The Totem Pole is an arrangement of symbols representing animal totems from the tribe’s ancestral past. Totems were a form of communication for the Pacific Northwest Coast Native Americans as they had no written language and thus the poles were used to convey their legends, stories and events. Totem poles may also be messages passed on by those that carve them. The pole’s symbols may often tell a very personal story of the carver himself, as well as that of his own family, clan or tribe.

The Familiar

The next type of animal spirit, mainly used in Shamanism and Witchcraft is called a “familiar”. The familiar is a spiritual entity that will appear as a facilitator in the communion of the human, animal and spirit realms.

The true Shaman or Witch does not just decide to walk the Path. They must first be chosen by and then accept a spirit being or deity as their mentor. Usually, this mentor will send forth an animal spirit to guide the initiate to them, or in many cases, they themselves may take the form of an animal spirit, only later revealing their true nature.

One example, in the case of Shamans and Witches who come from the background of the European Celtic traditions, the Goddess Morrigan will often appear to the initiate in the form of a raven or crow as their familiar and she will reveal her true self only after the initiate has actualized as an “enlightened being”.

Karma & Relationships

Karma - Relationship Readings.jpg

Karma is the memory of our souls, which means it’s often long standing, even stemming from prior lives. Indeed, the course of our current life is mostly predetermined by earlier lifetimes: what we didn’t finish then we come back to finish now.

What we didn’t “make right” in our last life will persistently present itself in this one, like an uninvited guest who won’t leave. Unpleasant situations are the consequence of lingering karma, which can always be reversed and resolved. Acknowledge these five properties of past life karma that still affect you, in order to erase the energy carried over from former lifetimes.

Without even knowing it, you may be experiencing karma that originated several lifetimes ago.

Karma has no expiration date.

Karma is the luggage your soul carries on its trip from life-to-life. Unfortunately, unlike luggage at the airport, this particular baggage never gets lost, which means you’re stuck with it until you open it up and sort through its ancient contents. Without even knowing it, you may be experiencing karma that originated several lifetimes ago. But when you do dig through your karmic suitcase, then finally, you can confront your outstanding karma and lighten your energetic load.

No person in your life, from your mother to your spouse to your mailman is a coincidence.

Everyone is placed into your life strategically for a reason. While you have the free will to walk away from or remain with a certain person, karma overpowers free will.

This means that the course of karmic relationships will play out as planned despite your best efforts. Acknowledge the role of each person in your life: Why are they there? What have they come to teach you and vice versa? What is the karma you’re meant to experience with this person? The sooner you acknowledge the truth of the karma you share with someone (whether it’s good or bad), the sooner you can settle it.

What you have done, you become.

Thanks to the media, we often think of karma as “what goes around comes around.” But the reality of karma is more expansive than just being “punished” for our bad deeds there exists positive karma, just as much as negative karma. If you stole, others will steal from you in following lives. If you nourished, you will be nourished. Your actions throughout your various lifetimes become the circumstances of your being

Roles often reverse.

One of the most fascinating facts about karma is that it often causes us to reincarnate in a reversed manner. This means that your parent may have actually been your child in a former life. Then, before reincarnating in this lifetime, the souls agreed the take on the opposite act. Souls switch genders, too. Positions shift throughout lifetimes based on karmic need; whatever dynamic is needed to repair or heal karma will be manifested through changing roles in our cycle of lives on earth. The people you know now may have had a very different impact on your previous lives!

Karma repeats to produce new results.

There’s a greater reason that karma repeats itself, and it’s not to cause you pain, it’s to teach you to take different actions for different results. If you’re attracting the same type of partners into your life over and over again, it’s time to stop and inspect your choices: Why do similar people keep coming in? What should you be doing differently?

This calls for honest introspection and evaluation of your own faults and weaknesses, which is admittedly hard to do. Don’t be afraid to look within. Recognize what must be changed inside of you so as to change what’s outside of you. Then, you can modify your behaviour to end karmic patterns and progress in your potential.

Past-life karma is resoundingly present in your current life. Muster up the courage to open your karmic suitcase and rid yourself of its wanted contents today; this act alone will change your destiny for lifetimes to come.

Spirit Animal – Mouse

mouse-spirit-animal.jpg

Mouse: Symbol of Trust in the Divine, Invisibility, Humility, Simplicity, Gentleness, Resourcefulness, Modesty, Adaptability, Innocence, Fertility, Super-Awareness, Voraciousness, Determination, Cleanliness.

Mice can be timid, appearing to be shy and nervous at the slightest twitch in their surroundings. This is symbolic of the antithesis of bravado, egotism and arrogance. When the mouse pays a visit, it’s often a message to take a look at behaviours.

The mouse is often a message for us to review our resources (of all kinds, energetic, financial, emotional, and physical) and be a little more conscious of how we spend or distribute these resources.

To pay close attention to details so as not to let anything important escape your attention as you may be missing something that is obvious and right in front of you.
You may be missing opportunities by having a narrow focus and only paying attention to one or two activities. This may be an important time for close scrutiny of all that is going on in your life and to sort it out, perhaps even letting go of those things that no longer fit in your life.

You should call upon a mouse if you are feeling disorganised, overwhelmed about things and need some kind of order, also if you are involved in a transaction where, it is very important to pay close attention to the “fine” print.

If you are feeling unproductive and want to get motivated to pursue goals and tasks. If you feel like your energies and attention are scattered and you need help to get or stay focused.

If the mouse is one of your power animals you are very detail oriented, so much in fact you sometimes lose track of the big picture. You are very organized and easily can put things in their proper place in order to keep track of them.

You are clean, fastidious in many areas of your life but neglectful in others parts.

“A mouse does not rely on just one hole.” ~ Plautus

Special Note about the Mouse: Our ancient ancestors observed their affinity for ground-burrowing, and likened this to mice being ‘one with the Mother’ (Mother Earth, that is). This ground-loving behaviour was also seen as a connection to the Underworlds (or Otherworld’s, depending upon your source of reference). This kind of connection makes the mouse a kind of mediator between physical life and recycling life (spirit energies in transition).

Moth Spirit Animal

Moth Spirit Animal.jpg

With the moth spirit animal that is helplessly drawn to the light of the flame, so are you when you are drawn to anything that is good and pleasurable.

The moth symbolism fuels your pursuits, whether physical, emotional, intellectual, or spiritual.

The moth meaning resonates with truth. It represents the truth that you cannot see because you are in the dark, but when everything else is illuminated, it all becomes clear as day.

The moth totem also represents your passions and the things that give you delight. It’s that childlike wonder that never seems to go away, no matter how difficult you’ve had it in life.

Every little thing continues to enchant, fascinate and amaze you. Just like the moth that comes near the flame, you also experience so many things when you get close to something you love.

It exhilarates, inspires and even terrifies you. There’s a certain light that is shed on the world and on your life and gives you your own unique perspective.

The moth symbolism can pertain to the secrets that you hold deep inside of you and the knowledge and wisdom that you have gained throughout the years.

It can represent your attraction to both good and bad and the fragility that you experience with each choice.

The meaning of the moth also represents your faith and determination. It has also been known to be associated with clairvoyance and psychic abilities.

The meaning of the moth urges you to find the light to take you out of the dark. Let this be your guiding light to become a better and stronger person.

Go find the light and teach yourself to be someone’s light as well. Be vigilant when it comes to your pursuits and keep your sense of judgment and intuition with you.

3 Facts about Moth Symbolism

While you may consider the moth to be a pretty insignificant insect, which does not mean that the spirit animal or symbolism that is attached to it will also be insignificant in its approach.

There is significantly more to moth symbolism than you may expect, but to show that, we need to address a number of points and facts that will then offer up a better explanation as to what is going on with the moth spirit animal.

  1. It represents you having a passion.

The first thing to mention is that moth symbolism is connected to you having a passion and not being afraid to explore it at any point.

You need to understand what is capable of giving you happiness and delight and to not then ignore it, but rather put it to good use wherever possible.

If you feel that you do not have a passion, then the moth spirit animal is imploring you to seek it out as we all have something out there, but sadly we do not always manage to find it unless we look very hard.

  1. It represents being fascinated by even the smallest of details.

A moth is always drawn to the flame or the light and moth symbolism is also going to be directly linked to that very idea as well.

You will find that you are fascinated by everything, which includes the smallest of details, but this is something that can serve you well in the future.

There is every possibility that you can learn so much from paying so much attention to what is going on, but you do need to be aware that you can be drawn into things that are perhaps not that good for you as well, so there is a certain need to be careful with what you are doing.

  1. It can indicate looking at your own weak points and insecurities.

There is also a strong sense of moth symbolism representing you having the need to look at your own individual weak points as well as those areas where you are feeling rather insecure about things.

Having these weaknesses does not have to be a negative thing, but being able to identify them and understand them does mean that you are not going to have to feel so disabled by them.

It  also allows you to better understand the areas where you need to grow as an individual and that is clearly going to be beneficial to you.

The moth is stronger than you think, but it does focus on a number of factors that are attributed to the way in which the moth acts at various times.

You need to be willing to explore things, but also understand that you are not strong with every single point either.

There will always be points that you need to work on as much as possible as that will help you to then grow and develop as a person.

Symbolism of The Horse Spirit Animal.

The Horse

Very few animals convey such majesty, power, pride, and nobility of spirit as the horse spirit animal.

With the horse spirit animal, you can see the true essence of freedom in your life, and you can live vicariously through it with each mile it runs and each obstacle it overcomes.

If you have this powerful animal working for you, you will truly experience the energy of a genuinely free spirit.

When you have the horse totem, this most commonly represents power and stamina.

The horse is known for being one of the most hardworking animals on earth, with the ability to carry on even on the roughest roads and the toughest climbs.

The horse meaning signifies overcoming obstacles, and how you should carry yourself in the face of adversity.

The horse spirit animal works hard to remind you to take care of your emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being.

The horse symbolism also speaks about freedom. It possesses an unbridled desire for freedom because of its naturally wild and powerful spirit, and it always wants to break free.

Another horse meaning is journey. The horse is usually seen carrying a rider on its back, embarking on all kinds of journeys.

This signifies the time to set your soul free. It’s time to go on your journey and jump over the hurdles of your life with strength and courage.

The meaning of the horse seeks to remind you that you have the power and the motivation to carry through anything. You are full of vitality, and you have the freedom to do whatever you want!

When the horse spirit animal comes galloping into your life, it carries a very important message.

You need to take stock of your life and see where you have been spending your energies on, and whether you have been giving your personal freedom or power away.

It signals a time to evaluate which aspects of your life allow people to treat you harshly or domineeringly.

You should think about whether you are putting the needs and demands of others before yours.

The horse symbolism in your life is simply telling you that no one can take away your power from you. You will only become powerless and weak if you allow it.

Harness the meaning of the horse in your life to get you out of your stupor you only need to have faith!

Facts About Horse Symbolism.

The horse is going to bring forth a number of different ideas and theories surrounding the symbolism that is associated with this animal.

However, you do need to pay close attention to the animal and the way in which it is viewed in real life as this is something that is seen as being quite majestic and almost regal in its approach.

The same symbolism is then going to be applied to the spirit animal and what it represents.

It represents power and stamina.

Horse symbolism is closely associated with the idea of both power and stamina, and this is directly linked to the way in which the horse can seemingly run for miles before it gets tired.

It has the determination to get to the end point and will push itself to extremes, and this is certainly something that you need to be doing in order to really get anywhere in life.

It is symbolic of getting over obstacles.

A horse is capable of getting over fences in its way, and you can also benefit from linking in with the symbolism associated with this animal.

It is directly linked to the idea of having the faith and confidence that you can get over any obstacle that is placed in your path as you know the rewards when you get to the other side.

You believe that you are going to be able to get over it without any problems and you have the strength and desire to go ahead and achieve this.

It is symbolic of going on a journey.

As the horse was originally used for being able to travel around, it should be no surprise to then discover that it is directly linked to the concept of going on a journey.

However, this is going to be something that you are going to be in control of every step of the way. You are going to effectively have itchy feet and a willingness to see what else is out there.

You should not be afraid of encountering new things as exciting times are ahead, but only if you allow that to be the case.

It seeks to keep your emotions and spiritual self healthy.

Horse symbolism is also closely linked to the idea of keeping your emotions and spirituality in check.

You need to constantly remind yourself of the need to not break your own emotional bonds as that in itself is going to cause some serious damage.

Maintaining this healthy balance will prove to be an advantage for you in life.

Horse symbolism is all about strength and the ability to carry on even when others may have fallen by the wayside or you would have previously felt as if you were struggling with energy levels.

This is showing you that there is a very real need to go ahead and keep carrying on as the rewards of getting over those obstacles are going to be far more important than you could have ever imagined.

Mercury retrograde takes place in Leo & Cancer & a lunar eclipse is happening in Capricorn.

Mercury retrograde

Mercury retrograde is quite common and takes place about 3 or 4 times. It stays for a couple of weeks and during this retrograde, we go through a storm and shadow period.

The shadow period begins when the planet turns direct and ends when it hits the point of the Zodiac on which the retrograde happens.

That’s the time when you feel its effect. After all, Mercury is fast and when it has to slow down, it doesn’t like it. Generally, Mercury retrogrades have two storm periods and then, it goes direct again.

Mercury retrograde takes place in Leo, first. Some drama is going to come your way during this time. Leos love to make mountains out of molehills. Plus, Leos love their fair share of attention, and they would take it somehow.

Leo rules over love, hence, affection and love are something that will be part of your life during this period. But like Leo, you will try to gain control over it.

Since Leo loves to play around, we do not quite know what and who we will fall in love with. Maybe it could be an activity we love to do, maybe we can just go out for a vacation. Leo is creative so, don’t let that creativity die out.

This Mercury retrograde commences on 7th July at 7:14 PM ET and concludes on 31st July at 11:58 PM ET. The shadow period is 23rd June – 15th August. The first storm period is 29th June – 19th July, and the second storm period is 23rd July – 7th August.

The retrograde commences at 4 degrees Leo, so the Leos born between 25th – 30th July will have its most impact. The retrograde concludes at 23 degrees Cancer, so Cancerians born between 13th to 19th July will feel the most impact of this energy.

Mercury also goes into retrograde in Cancer, on 19th July. Cancer is emotional so get ready for a huge emotional ride coming your way. Find support and comfort in your family, and don’t let the outside world influence you too much.

There is a chance that you feel a bit insecure inside. Its fine your emotions are acting out, just don’t lash out at this moment, be a bit flexible and adapt to the situation. Your family will help you out.

While the retrograde is happening, there will be a lunar eclipse as well, happening in Capricorn, on 16th July.

Mercury is going to be opposite it and emotions will be really high during this period so, it is necessary for Capricorn and Cancer to find a balance during this period.

Three aspects will be coming your way when Mercury turns retrograde. There will be a conjunction with Mars in transit on 8th July. It will bring in huge energy which is both reckless and impatient. Plus, the retrograde will make a hard aspect with the transit of Uranus in Taurus. It is an alignment which wants us to be careful and cautious.

On 21st July, Mercury will be making a conjunction with the Sun. It is an inferior one, but you get the chance to concentrate on something new for about six weeks. Mercury retrograde will also conjunct with Venus in Cancer on 24th July, so it may bring up pleasant energy for some, with a chance of accidents too. So, this time, Mercury retograde is going to be a bit crazy, so get prepared!

The Death Card & Transition

Death Card

In all my 12 month tarot readings there is always a transition period this is shown when the death card appears, many people get worried or confused when this shows up in their reading, it’s a positive thing unless of course you really don’t like change, one thing for certain is nothing can never stay the same, we all need to progress on our journey or learn new things and experience new circumstances to grow.

When the universe begins the process of re moving what no longer serves our best purpose there tends to be an emotional reaction. It is best at this time to try and go with the flow and let go of your expectations so that the universe has room to deliver, not all changes will be major sometimes little adjustments are needed to put us on the right track.

It’s during the bad times when we are often tested the most, but this is when most of us we grow spiritually and emotionally. If you have been struggling with some of the symptoms listed below, just know that there is an ending and you will soon be ready for your new beginning. Whether we’re moving, changing jobs or ending relationships, transitions can bring up feelings that can be hard to deal with at times.

Here are the most common reasons we go through change.

  • Spiritual growth
  • Career change
  • Love & relationship changes
  • Home moves
  • Becoming a parent

Here are symptoms one may experience at the beginning of a transitional phase.

  • Confusion about which choice to make or direction to take in life
  • Feeling unusually down, overly tired or sluggish
  • Not having good time management skills, when you’re normally on top of things
  • Freaking out over a situation you thought was no longer an issue
  • Moodiness
  • Knowing that something is missing in life, but you can’t put your finger on it
  • Feelings of lethargy or boredom
  • Constantly dwelling about something in a negative manner

There are ways to know when you are coping with changes well.

  • You start getting rid of things or people that doesn’t match your vibe
  • Your intuition suddenly becomes stronger
  • Your little psychic predictions start happening
  • You begin to add new and exciting things to your daily routine
  • Having faith in your future
  • Self-confidence increases and you believe in yourself more
  • You want to stop unhealthy habits
  • You start going out more or accept invites to events you would normally avoid
  • Your motivation returns
  • You find yourself smiling more

I often get asked the question, why am I having so much trouble letting go even though I know it’s done!

During a breakup, for example, we can be aware of missing our ex partner, by asking ourselves why this is the case when the relationship wasn’t that great, can often reveal under lining anxieties or fears of being alone, of maybe its financial instability, or feeling less brave about going it alone than we first thought.  By acknowledging what it is will then help you to come to terms with it.

Once we know why, we can figure out a plan of action, at least then you’re not just moping about. The challenge is to acknowledge when something no longer serves us. It is a journey of healing in which we have to accept the past is now in the past and begin the process of figuring out what’s next to move forward.

When we struggle with change, it’s often because we can’t see past the problem. Once you have a plan of action you will be surprised at your inner strength and your ability once focused to make the changes. You may also be surprised at who wants to support you with good advice, a job, or give you the space to find yourself again.

By spending a bit of time being kind to ourselves can lift our spirits, heal us and give us new perspective. Having good friends who are there to support you when things get difficult.

Once you figure out where you want to go, and what can you do to get there. You are never helpless to change your situation just try altering your approach to it.

Remember that every end is a new beginning, one that we should embrace with an open mind and heart.

Maybe you would like a Tarot reading to help you through a difficult time or transition, it’s often a small price to pay for some clarity or peace or mind.
