Samhain Rituals

Many of us will celebrate Samhain over a few days and nights, which usually include a series of solo rites as well as ceremonies, spells, feasts, and gatherings with family and friends.

Pagans celebrate Samhain from sundown on October 31 through November 1.

Halloween, short for All Hallows Eve, its celebrated on and around October 31. Halloween and Samhain are not the same, they are two separate celebrations that differ considerably in focus and practice.

Samhain’s is associated with death and nature’s rhythms. In many places, Samhain coincides with the end of the growing season, as vegetation dies back with the frosts.

This is also when the veil is thin between the world of the living and the realm of the dead and this enables us to contact and communicate with loved ones.

For those who have lost loved ones in the past year, Samhain rituals can be a way to bring closure to the grieving and to help them adjust to their loved ones being in the Otherworld by spiritually communing with them.

There are many ways we celebrate Samhain. Here are a few listed below, why not try one of them for yourself.

Samhain Nature Walk. Take a meditative walk in a woodland area near your home. Observe and contemplate the colours, aromas, sounds, and other sensations of the season. If possible gather some natural objects and upon your return use them to decorate your home.

Seasonal Imagery. Decorate your home with Samhain seasonal symbols and the colours of orange and black. Place an Autumnal wreath on your front door. Create displays with pumpkins, cornstalks, gourds, acorns, and apples. Light candles in cauldrons.

Ancestors Altar. Gather photographs, heirlooms, and other mementos of deceased family, friends, and pets. Arrange them on a table, along with a few candles. Light the candles in their memory as you call out their names and express well wishes. Thank them for being part of your life. Sit quietly and pay attention to what you experience. Make a note  of any messages you receive in your journal.

Feast of the Dead. Prepare a Samhain dinner. Include a place setting at your table for a deceased loved one. Add a place setting, and to the plate, add a bit of each food served. Invite your ancestors to come and dine with you. After the feast, place the contents of the plate and cup outdoors as an offering for the Dead.

Cemetery Visit. Visit and tend the gravesite of a loved one at a cemetery. Call to mind memories.Place an offering there such as fresh flowers, dried herbs, or water.

Reflections. Reflect on you and your life over the past year. Review journals, planners, photographs and blogs that you have created during the past year. Consider how you have grown, accomplishments, challenges, adventures, travels, and anything new that you have learnt.

Renovate. Select an area of your home or life as a focus. Examine it. Re organize it. Release what is no longer needed. Celebrate renewal and transformation.

Bonfire Magic. Light a bonfire outdoors or kindle flames in a fireplace or a small cauldron. Write down a habit that you wish to end and cast it into the flames as you imagine release. Then imagine yourself adopting a new, healthier way of being.

Divinatory Guidance. Using Tarot, Runes, Scrying, or some other method of divination, seek and reflect on guidance for the year to come. Write a summary of your process and any messages you received.

Divine Invocations. Honor and call upon the Divine associated with Samhain, such as the Crone Goddess and Horned God of Nature. Invite them to aid you in your understanding of the cycle of life, death, and rebirth. If you have lost loved ones in the past year, ask these Divine Ones to comfort and support you.

Sea Witches and Water Witches

719651209146c30cd9cb0fde21c0154c

First let’s start by defining what a Sea Witch is and what a Water Witch is.
Sea witches usually define themselves as a witch that works with sea and ocean energies. Their altar may include sand and water from their local beach or beaches they have visited on their travels .They also may choose to perform magic on the beach with their found ocean treasures such as beach glass, shells, driftwood, bones, stones and fossils.

Not all sea witches work with a deity but for those that do they tend to choose sea deities such as Poseidon or Aphrodite, in some cases they may also choose to work with water spirits such as mermaids, oceanids, nereids or the spirit of sea monsters such as the Kraken or Leviathan. These are just a few examples of course; there are thousands of sea and ocean spirits to work with and some choose to work with living sea creatures such as fish or shell fish. There are so many ways to practice sea and ocean magic if you love the sea and the moon and it heavily influences your path and the magic you work then chances are you are a sea witch.

Sea witches focus on Moon lore, the tides, and weather magic, from these elements came the tradition of witches who could raise wind and cause storms, which even 200 years ago could send them to the stake. The Sea Witch does not just use white magic or black magic but gray magic because the person deals with all elements at their disposal when maintaining a balance between light and dark powers. Not many ordinary persons can manage such a feat, which is why most sea witches are solitary, working alone and by themselves.

According to legends witches were believed to be able to control the wind. One method was with the use of three knots tied into a rope, or sometimes into a handkerchief. When the three knots were tied in the proper magical way, the wind was bound up in them. Witches gave, or sometimes sold, these magic knots to sailors to help them experience safe voyages. The release of one knot brought a gentle, south westerly wind, two knots, a strong north wind and three knots, a tempest.

Although some choose to call themselves sea priestess, rather than witch, a sea priestess has a bit of a different calling than a sea witch. Witches are generally concerned with magic, spirit work and divination. While a sea priestess may also engage in these things, they are more concerned with serving a sea or ocean deity. You may find a sea priestess on the shores performing healing rituals, energy work or cleaning the shores.

Originally water witches were folk practitioners who would use a divining rod or rods to find water where one might dig a well or water source. However in modern times, many witches of the Watery nature have found that the term Sea Witch does not apply to them. Perhaps because they are to inland or perhaps because the lakes, rivers and sacred springs sing to their hearts the way the ocean does for sea witches. Water witches may be found working at their home altar with beautiful sacred bowls or jars of water based potions. Others may work at a sacred water site such as a holy well where they work with the water and the spirit of the well to bring about healing. They may also be found cleaning the shores of the local river bed and performing healing rites in a quite spot under the shade of a willow tree.

There is absolutely no reason why a Sea witch can’t work with water from a sacred well or a water witch can’t work on the sea shore. I personally am more of a sea witch I can use and prefer the pull of power and energy of the waves.

Witchy bottles & jars for magic.

il_340x270.1623241575_h3q0

In many traditions of folk magic in Europe and  North America, a spell is sealed inside a jar, bottle or other container. This serves a number of purposes, the first being that it keeps the magic concentrated, and prevents it from escaping before the spell has been completed. The other is that you can take it and put it anywhere you like.

Perhaps the best known type of jar spell is the witches bottle. In early times, the bottle was designed as a way to protect oneself from any negative witchcraft, usually around the time of Samhain, homeowners would create a witch bottle to keep evil spirits from entering the home on Hallows Eve. The witch bottle was usually made of pottery or glass, and included sharp objects such as pins and bent nails. It typically contained urine as well, belonging to the homeowner, as a magical link to the property.

The sort of container you use in a jar spell or bottle spell will partially depend on the intent of your working. For instance, if you’re hoping to do magic for healing and wellness, consider putting your spell ingredients into a medicine bottle, pill container, or apothecary style jar.

A spell done to sweeten someone’s attitude can be done with a jar of honey. In some forms of Hoodoo and folk magic, honey is used to sweeten someone’s feelings towards you. In one traditional spell, honey is poured into a jar or saucer on top of a slip of paper containing the person’s name. A candle is placed in the saucer, and burned until it goes out on its own. Another variation, the candle itself can be covered in honey.

You can also make a banishing spell using a jar of hot sauce, for this process the name of the person you wish to be rid of is written on a slip of paper, and stuffed into the jar of the hottest hot sauce you can find. Shake the bottle every night for seven nights during the waning moon, and on the final day, empty it down the loo and get rid of the bottle, hopefully the person will then “hot-foot it” out of your life.

A money jar spell can be done to bring wealth your way, in some traditions nine pennies are used, all though it may be various coins placed in a jar or bottle. The jar may then be painted green or gold if you wish and then put someplace where it can be seen each day. Eventually, according to tradition, money will start coming in, this one is best done on a full or new moon.

Keep in mind that spell jars can be plain and simple, or you can decorate them to look pretty. The nice thing about a decorative, attractive jar is that you can leave them anywhere you like, and no one will even realise that magic is going on.

Shell Magic

tumblr_p4ggdf60MG1v8d5b1o1_500

Long before new age shops our ancestors turned to nature for their power objects, seashells in particular have a long history of magical uses, as they were associated with the powers of various sea gods and goddesses of different cultures.

Properties

Being born of the ocean, shells are associated with the element of water, they are also associated with the moon, which drives ocean tides. Both the element of water and the moon have strong feminine energies that are receptive in nature, so shells are primarily used in magic to draw things you desire into your life.

Preparation

Shells taken from the ocean don’t need ritual preparation for magical uses; however, if your shells were bought from a store or have been stashed in a box for a while, they may benefit from cleansing and recharging. To do this, place your shells in a bowl of water mixed with sea salt. Set them aside to soak for a day or overnight. Recharge them by setting the bowl in the sun or under the light of the full moon for several hours.

Love

One of the main symbols for Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love, is the seashell you can invoke the power of Aphrodite for love spells using shells by wearing seashell jewellery or hair ornaments to attract a mate. Use a hinged seashell with the two parts still attached as a powerful love talisman to keep two lovers together. Write the initials of the lovers on the inside of the shell, one on each side, then seal it shut with glue.

Prosperity

Many cultures used shells as a form of currency. Cowrie shells were used in Africa and North America, and Native Americans used wampum, beads made from clam shells as money. Because of this, shells are also suitable for money spells. Fill a small green or gold pouch with seashells, a silver coin and mint, which is a money drawing herb. Hang the bag where you do business, and rub it when you desire prosperity. Place a small seashell in your wallet or purse to continually keep money coming to it.

Protection

Protection is a shell’s primary purpose in nature, as it is made to keep small, defenceless sea creatures safe from harm, again because of this, shells have strong protective energies. Many cultures in coastal areas use shells in folk magic to protect the home by placing strings of shells over windows and doors. Necklaces of strung shells can be worn by children to keep them close to home and safe from harm. Some believe by placing a small, round shell on the collars of your pets will keep them safe should they wander from home.

Tiger’s Eye – I have found some interesting facts and uses for this wonderful crystal.

38755339_10156468277966772_1344167782593331200_n

Tiger’s Eye is a most ancient talisman, mysterious and powerful, revered and feared – an “all-seeing all-knowing eye,” thought to grant a wearer the ability to observe everything, even through closed doors. It was chosen by the Egyptians for the eyes in their deity statues to express divine vision, and was believed to provide the protection of the sun and earth combined, of Ra, the sun god and Geb, god of the growing land. Linked to the magical tiger, the king of beasts in Eastern mythology, Tiger’s Eye portrayed courage, integrity and right use of power. Roman soldiers carried it to deflect weapons and to be brave in battle. It has been highly regarded throughout history as a stone of prosperity and good fortune, protecting one’s resources and reflecting back malice or threats from others

One of the most effective of the eye formation stones, Tiger’s Eye is ever vigilant, bringing sharpness to one’s inner vision and better understanding of the cause and effect of each situation. It encourages one to use their powers wisely, and allows scattered information to be brought together to a cohesive whole. Tiger’s Eye supports necessary change in all aspects of one’s life, strengthening the will and clarity of intention in order to manifest at the highest level. It inspires creativity and utilizing one’s talents and abilities, and is superb for stimulating wealth and the good judgement needed to maintain it.

Keep Tiger’s Eye as a stone of luck and good fortune to attract a steady flow of money to the home. It is ideal for entrepreneurs and those setting out in business for the first time; also for those building up skills and a knowledge base for major career changes in the future.

Tiger’s Eye warns against complacency and emboldens one to “step out of the box” in order to grow and challenge one’s artistic and creative talents, physical abilities and trying something new. Use as a support stone for determination and to overcome fear during exams, competitions, public performances, selling one’s creations in the market place, or presenting ideas in important meetings.

Wear or carry Tiger’s Eye for increasing insight and perception in unfamiliar places or circumstances, and for protection from the negative intentions of others. Tiger’s Eye sharpens the senses, helping one pay attention to details and prepare for positive action. It reflects an overview of situations and assists when things are happening too fast. It is one of the best aids for resolving a crisis, and provides perfect support when one is afraid of making a wrong decision. Use for quick thinking, sizing up someone’s character, and for realizing the consequences of one’s own actions.

Draw on Tiger’s Eye to boost will power, emotional stability and energy levels when working through lifestyle changes and health improvement routines. It reduces cravings for the wrong kind of foods and helps decrease the need for binges, excessive cigarettes, prescription drugs or alcohol. It also reduces anxiety caused by feelings of isolation or inadequacy, and helps overcome discouragement to persevere through the long haul.

Tiger’s Eye is a stone of practicality and balance, remarkable for soothing tensions in families and relationships where differences of opinion or expression are causing discord. It promotes harmony between people with diverse viewpoints, religious beliefs or approaches to life to see both sides of an issue and find common ground. It is a marvellous talisman for professional mediators, as well as anyone going through difficult negotiations.

Tiger’s Eye is a blood fortifier, increasing vitality and strength, and restoring balance to the body on all levels. It is thought to boost the endocrine system, bringing one’s hormones and biochemistry back to level, and placed on the reproductive organs, may stimulate fertility and resolve issues arising from past experiences. Tiger’s Eye placed on either side of the head energetically rebalances the brain’s hemispheres, and as this stone holds energy of the sun, may relieve seasonal affective disorder and depression. It is effective for alleviating nightmares, and is reputed to relieve asthma attacks and angina, and help lower blood pressure.

Tiger’s Eye is traditionally used to heal disorders of the eyes and throat, and to improve night vision. It eases issues of the stomach and gall bladder, and dissolves constrictions. It may also be used to strengthen alignment of the spine and stimulate the repair of broken bones.

Tiger’s Eye is a remarkable ally for the mind, balancing emotional extremes and allowing scattered thoughts, feelings and information to come together in a way that makes sense. It brings focus and stability, enabling one to make decisions from a place of reason rather than emotion. Tiger’s Eye is ideal for those who are spaced out and uncommitted to find purpose; for those who find it difficult to remain optimistic, it stimulates hope and confidence for the future.

Tiger’s Eye is highly beneficial for resolving dilemmas and internal battles, especially those caused by jealousy, wilfulness and pride. It teaches integrity and right use of power, bringing an awareness of one’s needs, as opposed to mere “wants,” as well as understanding the needs of others. It is excellent for healing issues of self-criticism and worth, and unblocks creativity so one may recognize one’s talents and abilities, as well as one’s faults that need to be overcome. It is highly supportive for an addictive personality, increasing personal will to affect positive change, and anchors that change into the physical body.

Tiger’s Eye grounds the energy of the Solar Ray into the Earth, stimulating the First through the Third Chakras. It supports physical vitality, practicality, and maintaining balance between extremes.

The root is located at the base of the spine, and controls the energy for kinesthetic feeling and movement. It is the foundation of physical and spiritual energy for the body. When physically out of balance the symptoms manifest themselves as lethargy, low levels of activity, low enthusiasm, and a need for constant stimulation. When spiritual energies are out of balance, one may feel flighty, disconnected from reality or distant. When the Base Chakra is in balance, the physical body regains its strength and stamina, and the spiritual energy is rekindled in the form of security and sense of one’s own power. It often leads to independence and spontaneous leadership.

The sacral chakra located below the naval and above the pubic bone at the front of the pelvis, controls the flow of energy and is the centre of gravity of the body. It is the centre of the Life Force of the body, and controls the flow of information from the body to the mind and from the mind to the body. Gut feelings, intuition, and other “non-linear” communication comes from this chakra. When it is out of balance symptoms manifest themselves as confusion, over dependency on others, repression of feelings, inability to feel joy, fear of sensuality or sex, and frustration. When the Sacral Chakra is in balance one has grace, feels pleasure in life, and experiences the flexibility to “go with the flow” and do so in good spirit.

The solar plexus chakra   is the energy distribution centre and the chakra of relationships. This chakra is located between the ribcage and navel, and controls the immune and digestive systems. When balanced physically, we have strength to fight infections, are free of allergic reactions, and are able to use the nutrients we ingest. When the Solar Plexus is out of balance spiritually, we feel fear – of the disappointment or displeasure of others, or to subordinating our life and pleasures to the will of others. Spiritually, when the solar plexus is in balance we are free to interpret the world through our own thoughts and emotions and not live in fear of violating the dictums of others.

Tiger’s Eye resonates with the frequencies of the Earth and provides a warm, stable energy for prayers and meditation, and stimulating contact with the vibrational realm of Christ consciousness. It engenders peacefulness and beauty, and connects with the spiritual power of the sun as nourishment for the soul. Tiger’s Eye enables the ability to remember dreams and to use dreamtime for spiritual advancement, sparking imagination, intuition, and opening up psychic talents in earthy people through Third Eye activity. It is remarkable for balancing yin and yang energies, stimulating the rise of the kundalini energy, and bringing a joyful enthusiasm for flowing with “the river of humanity” toward the “One.”

The Gold rays of Tiger’s Eye bring success, enthusiasm, happiness, and power. It is traditionally the colour of kings, riches, and the sun. Gold touches a deep part of our minds, conjuring up images of mystical places and adventure. Light Gold crystals provide us with the simple pleasures of life – cheerfulness and contentment. Dark Gold crystals have a deeper, more pronounced sense of devotion and commitment, providing us with a mature enthusiasm and ability to share a lifelong commitment of care and love.

The Brown rays within Tiger’s Eye brings connection with the natural world. It is the colour influence of home, hearth, and nature. It helps us relax, reconnect, and regain our composure. It is a grounding stone, promoting security and stability.

Meditating with Tiger’s Eye initiates a wonderful, high-vibrational state that is well-grounded, peaceful, and highly conducive for encounters with others through remote viewing, out-of-body travel or mind travel. It allows one to move into a state of bliss, experiencing a single point of awareness within an atmosphere of warm compassion and unconditional love. Upon return, it inspires one to take actions led by that consciousness to bring its energy more fully into the physical world.

The Divinatory meaning of Tiger’s Eye: Money-making ventures and new prospects will succeed even better than anticipated if you persist and keep focused when you hit an obstacle.

The Marra Mamba Tiger Eye mined from the Mt. Brockman mine in Australia is a “gazing” stone, used by female shamans to provide powers of the “far-seeing eye,” beneficial in the open country where “seeing” could have an effect on one’s well-being as well as the entire community. This locality stone can also be used to “mirror” oneself in order to understand one’s behaviour, thoughts, and reasoning, or to “read” the energies of others.

Gold Tiger’s Eye is wonderful for connecting with Archangels Jophiel and Sabrael.

Tiger’s Eye may have been known in ancient history as Wolf stone, and possibly as oculus belus, dedicated to the Mesopotamian god Belus. Deemed to be all-seeing, it was regarded as a stone of protection and good luck, used to heal eye diseases and help one see in the dark. In Chinese medicine, it restored yin and yang energies.

Tiger’s Eye was linked with the magical tiger, the king of beasts, in Eastern mythology, and Roman soldiers wore it in battle for bravery and to deflect weapons. To the ancient Egyptians, it offered the protection of the sun and earth combined, of Ra, the sun god, and Geb, god of the growing land. They also placed the glittering stone in the eyes of their god image statues to express divine vision.

A popular good luck stone, Tiger’s Eye/Cat’s Eye was used to ward off the evil eye, and to reflect back any malice or threats without absorbing any negative energy. It was used a great deal in voodoo rituals. Holding a Tiger’s Eye was also used to discern if someone else was reliable or not. Traditionally it was believed by the end of the day, any deception would be revealed.

Tiger’s Eye utilizes fire energy the energy of enthusiasm, warmth, brightness, illumination and activity. It is Yang in nature. It is the energy of heat, action, emotion and passion – of ideas, of concepts, and sex. It is traditionally associated with the south area of a home or room, and with the fame and reputation area of your dwelling. Use its energy to give your life the boost it needs to enhance your standing in the community and within your family.

Tiger’s Eye has long been used as an amulet against the evil eye, curses and bad luck, and as a talisman for bringing wealth and good fortune.

Tiger’s Eye is a seeker transformer crystal. Seekers contain a crystal energy structure that aligns the natural energy of the crystal to the natural power of the human mind in finding the way to new horizons and new capabilities. They’re pointers, directors, and compasses; the fresh start crystals. These are talismans of the scientist, the adventurer, the hunter, wanderer, and explorer. They’re also crystals of the student and the researcher.

Transformer crystals enhance efforts to change our situations, prospects, health, outlook or relationships. By transforming ourselves we transform our lives. We learn to dance, speak a new language, grow stronger, or become a better spouse or child. Seeker crystals with the earth power of the Transformer are excellent talismans to aid our efforts to grow, develop new capabilities and change our lives.

Tiger’s Eye is a great zodiac stone for those born under the sign Gemini between May 21 and June 20, when the Earth is approaching summer. The constellation Gemini is known as the Sign of the Inventor and is seen as twins side by side in the sky. It is closely associated with the planet Mercury. Those born under this sign can see both sides of an issue. They’re flexible and can go with the flow, and can be lively and talkative, or restless and nervous depending on their setting. Those born when the Sun is in Gemini are quick thinkers, quick-witted, and quick on their feet.

Owl Spirit Guide, Meanings, Symbolism and Messages

63737991-720px

Symbolic meanings for the owl are: – Intuition, ability to see what others do not see.

The presence of the owl announces change, capacity to see beyond deceit and masks & Wisdom.

These birds love to sit quiet and still so that they can observe their surroundings. Therefore, this birds’ message to you is that you may need to remove yourself from the noise of life. Become still and silently observe your surroundings.  Moreover, slowing down and becoming stable will allow you to access the wealth of information and Owl meaning that surrounds you. Whenever this bird is present, it will share its ability to see what others may miss. In other words, owl meaning prompts you to open your eyes and truly examine how things are. You will be surprised by what you can suddenly see. As an example, other people’s motives may now become clear to you. External appearances will give way to the truth and meaning hidden beneath.

Alternatively, the Owl symbolism is often thought to come to those who need to let go of some part of their life that is no longer needed. With this in mind, owl symbolism cues you to listen carefully to your inner voice and allow yourself to be guided to recapture the knowledge of your correct path in life. This bird’s senses can pierce through shadows, beyond fear and darkness, through to the other side that promises light, happiness, and knowledge.

Owl Totem, Spirit Animal

Those of you who have Owl Totem as your totem animal will find yourself drawn to the dark and prefer to work during the night hours. For this reason, you have no fear of the occult, darkness or magic and often have the gift of prophecy. Also, your wisdom gives you the power to extract secrets from those around you when you listen to its voice inside of you. As a result, you will hear not what others are saying, but what they are thinking and feeling by detecting the subtleties of voice that others cannot understand.

People are unable to deceive you because you can see into the darkness of others souls. Most people with Owl totem are also clairvoyant because of this ability to observe and empathize. Since it can be terrifying at times, you have to learn to trust your instincts about people.

The owl is associated with witchcraft in a number of European and some American Indian traditions. Witches would often take the owl as an animal spirit guide.

In Greek mythology, the Goddess Athena, goddess of the wisdom and war, was represented as an owl. It is said that the Romans believed that someone would reveal all their secrets during their sleep if an owl feather was placed near their pillow.

Manifesting your goals.

2f3e526dc1978720e07537684fd523d6--grateful-quotes-grateful-heart

Working as a psychic, I often deal with clients who are trying to manifest new opportunities and create a better life. I have a few rituals that can be really effective at getting people into this mindset and help to bring about their dreams, whether it’s attracting financial abundance or making more like minded friends. I hope that they help you attract all the wonderful opportunities that you’re after.

Is your mind getting in the way of your highest good?

Putting together a plan of action may be second nature for you, but when it comes to manifesting, it’s best to surrender and let your mind be open to all possibilities. Who knows the Universe might have something better in store for you. When you begin trying to manifest a new job, lifestyle, partner or anything else, don’t latch on to too many details. Try to remain open and flexible.

 Watch out for the signs.

Be more present and watch for signs from the Universe. When you’re trying to make a big change or bring something new into your life, the Universe will begin to send you guidance. Watch for synchronicities, or meaningful coincidences, repeating numbers and songs are common signs.

Try to curb those judgmental or negative thoughts.

When creating magic you’ll have more chance if you make the decision feeling positive and optimistic. If someone or something makes you think negative, try to avoid them or the situation, or use mindfulness to redirect your thoughts. If you’re going through a rough patch, remember that you can be sad and still genuinely grateful for the blessings in your life.

Keep your intention in mind.

Writing a reminder of your goals in your journal or just talking to a close friend or relative going over your ideas are great ways to stay proactive. This keeps your focus on the prize, so to speak.

Be aware of your claircognizant abilities.

Pay special attention to those thoughts that seem to pop into your mind “out of nowhere” or any large chunks of information that seem to appear rapidly.

Keep your mind focused with rituals.

Rituals work best when you enjoy them, so if you read about a ritual, don’t be afraid to personalise it in some way. With this full moon energy still going strong it’s a great time to start.  Here are couple to get you started!

Create a nature altar.

Go outside and collect anything that your drawn to this can be sticks, rocks, leaves, flowers, find a spot on where you can assemble your altar. Then as you arrange the objects think about your goals and silently ask that the Universe come to your assistance. Leave your altar out for the week, and every time you look at it, thank the Universe for its help with your manifestation goals.

Perform a candle and journal ritual.

Set aside some quiet time say 15 or 20 minutes when you know you will not be interrupted, light a white candle to open your ritual, get out your journal, but instead of writing down what you did earlier in the day or what’s been on your mind, continue to let your mind be blank. Silently ask the Universe or your guides what you most need to know right now about your goals, try to let the ideas and words come through you. This is known as automatic writing.

You should see something written on the page when you finish, hopefully they are things that have never thought of that before. You might see some fears that you were aware of but didn’t want to admit to yourself or others. Once you’re done, sit and gaze again at the candle’s flame, and then blow it out to close the ritual. Be sure to silently thank your spirits and your guides for any ideas or words of wisdom that came through.

Wishing Stones

8f4dac5876d8022f92b08b4a2e2945fe.jpg

I love wishing stones if you take your time with them they can be a lot of fun especially  if you just want to throw caution to the wind and wish big. I often find them while walking around outside I then save them for when I feel that I need a little luck.

Over the years, I have found quite a few of them I call them my rainy day wishes.

I’ve had a few rainy days where I turned to my wishing stones, but before I use the wishes I’d been saving I wanted to make sure I used them to their fullest potential. After some thought, I decided on these three methods, and now I want to share these with you.

The common lore on wishing stones is that they can be any size or shape and colour except for a solid white band encircling the entire stone. This band can be of any thickness, but there should only be one and it should be unbroken. That unique white ring makes these stones somewhat rare, but unmistakable. I have always relied on these ones because I have had success with them, so I’m sticking with it.

As soon as I learned about wishing stones, I wanted to collect as many as I could. I have had a lot of practice finding them and that white band became easy to spot and I could find them quickly.

Location is not a problem wishing stones can be found anywhere. If you just want to give the stones a try, you could go searching and probably find one without too much effort.  Or, if you wanted to make a day of it, head somewhere a little off the beaten track and look there.

Half the fun is finding them I try to go to places that feel special to me. It’s not entirely necessary, but it adds to the experience and makes my stones seem a little more precious. This can be a solitary activity or you can go with a friend.

So, once you’ve collected your stones, how do you use them?

The Shared Wish

The shared wish is meant to “double” the power of the wish by using two people’s intentions rather than one. Intention, as always, is so important when performing any kind of magic even when using simple wishing stones. Small to medium stones work best.

Before beginning, go over the instructions with your partner so both of you are on the same page during the process. It’s important that both people are wishing for the same thing in the same way.

Hold hands with your partner and place the wishing stone between your palms, then firmly clasp hands. With your eyes closed and hands together, both of you need to focus deeply on the wish, thinking in present tense terms as though your shared wish is already happening. For example, “our trip is safe” or “we are healthy.” If needed, say the wish aloud.

Now, visualize the wish occurring in your mind. Imagine what it looks like to have your wish happen, imagine what it feels like. Try and feel only the stone in your hand and focus only on that and imagine the wish flowing from your palm into the stone and swirling around inside it like smoke.

Open your eyes. If one of you is still concentrating, don’t interrupt them. Once their eyes open, you can release hands. Your wishing stone is now charged with your intentions! Times two!

Because this is a shared wish, neither of you needs to carry the wishing stone around, the stone should be placed on a high point, preferably outside like a window ledge where it can be exposed to the elements and release the wish as it likes. Once your wish has been granted, you should thank the stone and then return it back to a natural environment.

The Moon Wish

This spell is designed for larger wishing stones that can’t be carried around with you.

On the first day of the moon, prior to making your wish, dig a hole big enough for your wishing stone on the east side of your home. Make sure it’s deep enough for the stone to be completely covered with no chance of exposure. At midnight on the first official day of the moon, close your wishing stone in your hands and make your wish. Meditate on your wish for as long as you feel necessary and at least long enough to warm the stone in your hands . This process may take a while depending on the size of your stone, but that’s beneficial to you because the more time you spend focusing on your wish’s intentions, the better.

Once the stone is warm, go outside and bury it in the hole you dug earlier. Pack the earth tightly so the stone will be undisturbed, and mark the spot so you can find it easily.

On the third day after the moon unearth the stone and bring it inside. Make a warm salt water bath and wash the stone so it is as clean as when you found it then take the stone back to nature and thank it for its work. If possible, take the stone east, toward the sunrise and leave it in a place where the sunlight touches it.

Quick Wish

This is supposed to be fast and fun for less specific wishes as it requires a lot less concentration. This is for “good-intention” wishes, like wishing for health and happiness, or something you are waiting to happen.

Hold you’re wishing stone tightly in your left hand, warming it slightly. Then close your eyes, and as you say your wish aloud, turn the stone over in your hand three times to charge it with your wish. When finished, hold the stone with your right hand and throw it eastward as far as you can. Because of the nature of these wishes, you don’t need to keep the stone with you. Instead, when you throw the stone, imagine yourself throwing your good intentions into the universe and hoping they come true.

You can also buy wishing stones online if you’re not having any luck finding them where you live, wishing stones are meant to be used once and then discarded so someone else can find it. Back to the single white band, one band, one wish. So, don’t try to reuse the stones if you want more wishes, just find more wishing stones!

After all the work finding the stone, some may not be so ready to part with it once the wish has been granted. This is up to you, but I think you’ll have a better chance of having your wish come true if you throw the stone.

Unlike your quartz and amethyst and the loyal stones you may carry with you or place on your altar, wishing stones don’t belong to you. Think of them as little spirits who come into your life temporarily to help, who you then release so they can help someone else.

Tea magic ritual for self love, try it on the next full moon.

2288f4d2074548d45dafda3138cd6c51

Do you like the idea of doing a full moon tea ritual this is where you spend a few precious moments  preparing  and drink your tea, you can do it alone or share it with friends and family. It is your choice but the experience will have better results if you do it by yourself.

Some of you may feel emotional and deep feelings may rise to the surface during this ritual and you’ll be more at ease to let them out if you’re alone. The way you do it doesn’t really matter as long as you do it mindfully with intention, be conscious of how you feel and try to stay in the moment when following the ritual, feel free to customise it slightly if you like.

I love this tea ritual because the process of preparing it is a magical act in itself, tea brewing involves the union of the five alchemical elements. That’s why tea rituals are a particularly powerful kind of magic. You don’t even need a magical circle for it to work although you can still cast one to help you if you want too maybe some of you will also set up your altar.

Elemental Correspondences:

Earth: The herbs in your tea

Air: The steam and scent of your tea

Fire: The warmth needed for tea brewing

Water: The medium of you tea, its liquid state.

Recipe: for herbal tea for self love and self acceptance.

A small tea pot makes approximately 2 cups

1 tea spoon of rose petals

1 tea spoon of jasmine

1 tea spoon of thyme

1 tea spoon of lavender

A pinch of sea salt (or table salt)

Honey for flavour

You will need your favourite tea set a mortar and pestle and a kettle.

First, gather the herbs.  (You can substitute it for normal tea leaves if you wish if you don’t have the recommended herbs.)

Using a mortar, grind every herb separately. While you’re grinding them, focus on your goal.

Charge each herb one by one by passing your hands through them. Imagine that a white light goes from your hands to the herbs. When you feel the herbs tingling with energy, put them into your teapot.

Boil the water in your kettle. While you’re waiting prepare yourself and your sacred space. Ground yourself, burn some incense and light a candle.

When it’s ready, pour the hot water on the herbs. Focus on what you’re doing then find a place where you can see the moon. Sit near of your window, or if the weather allows it, go outside.

Let it cool down and think about how you see yourself remember all the times when you’ve been hard on yourself. Think of the moments when you’ve felt that you were not good enough or not worth of the other people’s love or admiration.

Say to yourself – I am a good person. I am worthy of all the good things that are in my life. I am enough. I love who I am.

Drink your tea as you drink it imagine that you’re surrounded in a pink light a loving, healing, protective energy. Breathe it in, and imagine that it’s filling your soul with love and compassion.

When there is only a small sip of tea left, stop drinking. Pour the last drop of tea into the ground as an offering. Thank the Full Moon and the Universe for their help. Above all, thank yourself, self-love is not an easy thing.

Leave the herbs in the garden if you feel like it write what you’ve felt in your journal.  The most important thing to remember to always be kind towards you, self love takes practice to become good at it.

They don’t get involved in gossiping, but love observing people and form their own opinions, which they keep to themselves. When you first meet her all you see is the tip of the iceberg. If you want to see the whole picture, you have to dive deep, which takes time, effort and patience, she may seem a bit passive at first, but over time you realise she is fiery, strong and incredibly efficient in an effortless sort of way.

She is leadership material and she can have a powerful influence with her counselling skills and inherent wisdom, her friends often rely on her when difficult decisions have to be made. She likes to rule quietly, but won’t be happy if someone else tries to take her limelight. As more and more hidden gems are gradually revealed, you will discover the odd weakness, too, which she is very eager to keep hidden like fragility and sensitivity.

She is linked to the moon, which can make her susceptible to other people’s moods, insecurities and self doubts; therefore she can see trouble brewing and offer sound advice. Some of you may like to take note of these wise words for they will help you as they have helped me in my life…

Always try to listen rather than talk then wait and see rather than take action, always trust your intuition often facts are not always what they seem to be, only offer advice or share your opinion when you are asked for it, stay calm when faced with conflict and don’t get involved in drama, be observant and learn from what you see, do your research thoroughly and accept nothing at face value, remember first impressions do count but remain open and receptive to all possibilities. Yes your creative ideas have great potential but they need refining and a clear plan for action, meet uncertainty with patience and don’t panic take your time and slow down, always keep personal and sensitive information strictly confidential and choose your words wisely for they have energy and you can never take them back.

I have used my psychic ability and spiritual knowledge to help many people over the years in my teachings and by doing Tarot and other readings. I use my intuition and my guides to uncover secrets and hidden knowledge.
