The Witches Hat

String and Cord Magic
You can  do magic by focusing and visualising your intent onto a string or cord. Visualising your magic happening and as you do so, tie nine knots into the cord as you say
this spell. The knots should be tied in the order shown below.

–x–x–x–x–x–x–x–x–

1 – 6 – 4 – 8 – 3 –  9 – 5 – 7 – 2

By knot of one this string I tie,
Let the magic begin, don’t let it die.
By knot of two it will come true,
Whether I make it for me or you.
By knot of three it comes to be,
The magic will happen as you will see.
By knot of four my message will soar,
Up to the Gods whom we adore.
By knot of five the magics alive,
It will happen, it will survive.
By knot of six it will be fixed,
The power increasing as the clock ticks.
By knot of seven this spell I’ll leaven,
As the message is carried up to heaven.
By knot of eight it will not wait,
The magic will happen it won’t be late.
By knot of nine my magick will shine,
It is my will placed in this rhyme.
Once you have finished, place the tied cord in a safe place. If you want the magic to be
permanent, bury the cord in the earth or burn it.

If you keep the knotted cord, you can undo the
magic whenever you like.
Undoing string/cord magic

Locate the last knot that you tied, when you did the spell. Untie ig Untie all of the knots in the
opposite order to that which you tied it. When all the knots are undone, your magic will no
longer be in effect.
You can chant the following over and over as you untie the knots:
With each knot I untie,
Release the magic, let it fly.
And it harm none, set it free,
This is my will, so mote it be.
